MHS Class of 1951, 1956 plan reunions

Marion High School class of 1951 will have their 65th class reunion Sept. 24th at the VFW in Marion.

Class members will meet at 9 a.m. for rolls, juice, and to decorate a class float to ride in the Old Settlers’ Day parade.

The class will have lunch in Central Park. Class introductions will be at 2 p.m. at the park gazebo. A class dinner follows at 5 p.m. at the VFW.

Class of 1956

MHS class of 1956 will have its 60-year reunion on Sept. 23 and 24.

Class members will have dinner at 6 p.m. Sept. 23 at Mercantile on Main St. in Florence.

The class plans to ride in the Old Settlers Day parade Saturday morning.

Lunch will be downtown, but no official class meal was set.

Class members are welcome to visit at St. Mark’s Holy Family Activity Center during the day on Sept. 24. Coffee and tea will be available.

A class meeting will be at 4 p.m. at the activity center. A class picture will be taken. Dinner follows at 6 p.m.

MHS Class of 1971

The Marion High School class of 1971 will have its 45-year reunion Old Settlers’ Day weekend, Sept. 23 and 24.

Class members will meet at the Historic Elgin Hotel on Friday, Sept. 23, for a social hour from 6 to 7 p.m. and dinner immediately following.

The class will ride in the Old Settlers’ Day parade Saturday.

For Friday dinner reservations, send an email with the number of attendees to Doug Keazer at keazerd@yahoo.com by Sept. 10. Checks to cover the cost of $20 per person can be mailed to Keazer at 5198 Gardenia Ct., West Lafayette IN 47906.
