Twenty-one of the 42 surviving members of the Marion High School Class of 1964 gathered for their 50-year class reunion on Old Settlers’ Day.
They rode in the parade and visited with old and new friends in the park. Class members later got together at Country Dreams Bed and Breakfast.
Class members in attendance included: Sandra Sawyer Long, Kathy Klein Goentzel, Virginia Goentzel Jost, Sandra Winkley Meats, Judy Broadstreet Stauffer, Sandra Weinheimer Hett, Virginia Tajchman Albert, Pam Domke Erickson, Sandra Kline Bina, Richard Bell, Charlotte Poppe Hoffner, Lloyd Bevan, Mary Konarik Griffith, Rodney Schlesener, Marvin Meisinger, Karen Keazer Kline, Phyllis Stenzel Kreutziger, JoAnn Stroda Fitzpatrick, Don Williams, Dick Hamlin, Bob Olsen, Richard Swanson and Max Jackson. Former class teacher and coach Gerald “Pete” attended the event with his wife, Gail.
