Marion High School small vocal groups and soloists qualified for the State Solo and Small Ensemble Music Festival April 30 at Southeast of Saline High School.

Students who receive a I rating will qualify for the state festival.

The Marion Singers, a group of 18 students, received a I rating. The girls ensemble and the boys ensemble also received I ratings.

Other I ratings were given to vocal soloists Landon Leiker, Issac Baldwin, E.J. Obermeyer, and Caroline Collett.

Leiker received a I rating for a trumpet solo as did Sarah Guetersloh for a trombone solo.

Those receiving II ratings were Jennifer Fruechting, vocal and clarinet solos; Elizabeth Goenzel, trumpet; Beth Nesser, flute; Dylan Goebel, trumpet; and Andrew Kjellin, baritone.
