Mildred Lydia Bura, 88, of Emporia, died Sept. 4, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.

She was the daughter of Walter and Lydia (Schultz) Bahre. She married Aaron Alfred Bura on Sept. 15, 1946, in McPherson. He survives.

Her parents and a brother, Rogene, preceded her in death.

Other survivors include a son, Dennis of Lilburn, Ga.; two daughters, Rose Anne of Wichita and Linda Sadowski of Emporia; a brother, Marvin Bahre of Hemet, Calif.; a sister, LaVerne Bahre of Sugar Creek, Mo.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Emporia. The Rev. Norbert Tegtmeier will officiate.

Burial will be in the afternoon at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Winfield.

A memorial has been established with the church in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, 605 State St, Emporia KS 66801.
