Mildred Hajek

Mildred A. Hajek, 94, died Thursday at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.

Mass was to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at St. John Nepomucene Church, Holy Family Parish, Pilsen. Interment was to be in Pilsen Cemetery.

Born Dec. 4, 1916, in Marion County, she was the youngest child of Wencelaus and Anna (Holub) Bina.

She attended Pilsen School and married Albert F. Hajek on Nov. 16, 1942. They made their home near Lost Springs, where they farmed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son Francis, and siblings Lillie Benda and George, Frank, and Ernest Bina.

Survivors include her daughter, Irene Waylan of Miami, Okla.; four sons, Paul, Ronald, and Gary Hajek of Lost Springs, and Jerome Hajek of Marion; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial funds have been established with St. Luke Living Center and St. Anne’s Altar Society in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St, Marion KS, 66861.
