Mildred Taylor

Mildred M. Taylor, 99, died Oct. 29 at Worth County Convalescent Center, Grant City, Mo.

Born March 9, 1910, in Linden, Iowa, to Roy L. and Elizabeth (Shafer) Hodson, she was married Aug. 9, 1928, to Jack M. Taylor in Iowa.

She worked for the Worth, Mo., post office for 27 years and was a member and pianist of the Worth United Methodist Church.

Her parents; a daughter, Marie McComas; four brothers; and two sisters preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Jack of Marion; two daughters, Esther McClellan of Grant City, Mo., and Jean Pittensbarger of St. Joseph, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Saturday at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home, Grant City, Mo. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery, Albany, Mo.
