Milestone for thrift shop

To the Editor:

On Dec. 29, St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary Shoppe will celebrate its third year. Time really flies when you are having fun.

Our profits have allowed us to purchase several items for St. Luke Living Center including a minibus and yearly maintenance, dining room chairs, and TV and cabinet; dishes for the dietary department, a laboratory machine, landscaping, non-invasive monitor for the emergency room, cardiac rehabilitation monitoring equipment, high-volume office scanner, portable hot food cart, cautery knife for surgery, and physical therapy equipment.

This only could have been accomplished with the support of the community in giving, buying, and volunteering.

Thank you, Marion County and surrounding areas.

The shoppe will be closed Dec. 26 and 27 to give our elves a much-deserved rest. We all wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
