Monroe Kreutziger

Monroe W. Kreutziger, 93, of Hillsboro, a lifelong Marion County resident, died Aug. 24, at Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

Born Aug. 24, 1916, in Marion, to Irvin and Lucy (Siebert) Kreutziger, he was a farmer and stockman in the Canada area. 

He married LaNorma Schlotthauer on June 1, 1951, in rural Marion County.  They retired from farming in 1997, and relocated to Hillsboro in 2006. 

A sister, Irma Kreutziger, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, LaNorma, of Hillsboro; three daughters, Rita Whitcomb of Ann Arbor, Mich., Judy Dietzel of Pigeon, Mich., and Debra Wilkens of Monrovia, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 

Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. today with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Strassburg Baptist Church. 

Burial will be in Marion Cemetery. 

Memorials to the church may be made in care of the funeral home.
