Tampa property owner David Mueller has plans for buildings he owns on Main Street.
On the west side of the post office building there is an old gas station. He planned on putting a roof on the building this weekend. He has discussed having a collector of gas station memorabilia in Lost Springs move his collection, including antique pumps from the 1950s, to the store as a small museum.
Mueller owns the grocery store building directly east of the post office building. He said the former grocery store will be his project for next year. It may require taking down the entire back section of the building and leaving the façade as he did with the post office building. The eastern section of the building is connected to Tampa Café, which he also owns.
He wants to expand the café to include a bar area. The western section of the building could house David and Caterina Rziha’s gym, if a business could be found to fill in the storefront in the post office building, Mueller said.
