Neo-Century Club selects project

Neo-Century Club met for its annual end-of-the-year dinner with spouses May 4 at Hilltop Manor. It was a catered meal.

After the meal, spouses were dismissed and vice president Shirley Carlson led a business meeting. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. A treasurer’s report was presented.

A note of resignation was read from Donna Brown and accepted with regret. She was asked to consider an associate membership, which she agreed.

Donna Fruechting led discussion about choosing a community project. A shower chair will be purchased for St. Luke Living Center. The annual distribution of fruit baskets is not yet completed but soon will be.

Arlene Bowers led the installation of officers for next year, using “light” as the theme. Each officer lighted a candle as she accepted an office and received a red carnation with a silver ribbon, which are club colors.

Newly-elected president Lou Roberts opened discussion for new business. Being none, the meeting was adjourned.
