Norma Bradley

Norma L. Bradley, 82, of Hutchinson, died Jan. 13, at her home.

Born Feb. 14, 1927, in Youngtown, to Frank and Marie Elizabeth (Stowe) Ireland, she graduated in 1945 from Florence High School and later Friends University. She earned a master’s degree in 1967 from Emporia State Teacher’s College.

Norma was one of the first special education teachers in Hutchinson, teaching at Grandview, and Allen and Morgan elementary schools, retiring in 1989.

On Nov. 23, 1949, she married Richard Bradley in Fowler.

Her parents; brothers and sisters, Henry, Gail, and Kenneth Ireland, Joyce Roberts, and Opal Brown preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Chris, of the home, and Mary Lou Frigon of Niceville, Fla.; a son, Rick of Niceville; a brother, John Ireland of Enid, Okla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. March 20 at Partridge Grade School.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
