Norma Jean Goering

Norma Jean Goering, 79, Marion, died Nov. 22, 2008.

Born Nov. 4, 1929 in Liberal, she was the daughter of Cornelius “C.J.” and Lizzie (Dick) Dyck. She was a bookkeeper.

On April 17, 1949, she married Richard B. Goering at Wichita.

They moved to Marion in 1998.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Juanita Ensz.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Goering of Marion and Jonathon Goering of York, Maine; a daughter, Rebecca Blair of Augusta; a sister, Bonnie Spear of Green Valley, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Nov. 24 at Zeiner Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Eurit presiding.

Burial was at Marion Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with the Alzheimer’s Association and be made in care of the funeral home.
