Criminal damage to property

Plate glass at Centre school valued at $1,116 was reported vandalized between 12 p.m. Jan. 15 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 16.

Criminal trespass and damage to property

Three padlocks with a total value of $30 were damaged at the Mid- Kansas Coop fueling facility at 151 S. Main St., Florence, sometime between Feb. 17-24.

Possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession/consumption of alcohol by minor

Police discovered .5 grams of marijuana, a pipe, a grinder, and an open bottle of beer between 10 and 11 a.m. Feb. 28 in the 100 block of Lincoln St. in a parked vehicle that had been operated by a Marion High School student. A police canine team had been conducting a free air sniff of lockers and vehicles at Marion Middle and High School surrounding the school campus located on public and school property. The drugs were discovered when a police dog indicated on vehicle that was parked on Lincoln St. The owner of the vehicle, presumably the juvenile’s parent, was contacted before a vehicle search.

Possession of methamphetamines, possession of marijuana,

Harlan Comer, 47, Overbrook, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamines, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia between 2:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday on US-56 near milepost 304. Officer Lee Vogel indicated in his police report that the Comer’s vehicle was stopped for a traffic infraction, improper number of driving lamps and an unlawful use of an auxiliary lamp. Marion’s canine team was called in when Vogel became suspicious that the Comer may have been under the influence of drugs. A police canine indicated on a drug odor and a subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly rendered approximately 1.6 grams of meth, 9 grams of marijuana, a grinder, and syringes.
