Offense reports released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

Identity theft; criminal use of financial card
Credit and bank card information was stolen from five people between May 24 and May 29 by a card skimmer installed on a gas pump at Johnson’s General Store in Florence. Victims included:
- John Branson, 50, Florence, bank card, May 24.
- Mark Slater,, 52, Florence, bank card, May 25.
- Robert Hendrix, 50, Herington, credit card, May 26
- Stephen Gayle, 53, Florence, bank card, May 28.
- Jeffrey Inlow, 60, Florence, credit card, May 29.
Cottonwood Valley Bank, Florence, was listed as a second victim in four of the incidents. Gayle’s bank card was issued by Tampa State Bank. No monetary losses were reported.
Criminal damage to property; failure to report accident
Fence and posts owned by Greg Holub, 46, Lost Springs, and valued at $400 were damaged in an apparent vehicle accident at 310th and Vista Rds. between 5 p.m. July 8 and 10:19 a.m. July 9.

Possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia
Officer Mike Stone stopped a vehicle that was traveling 21 mph in a 65 mph zone at 2:55 a.m. Saturday on US-56 near Remington Rd. He reported that the vehicle sped up for a few miles then significantly slowed again. When he stopped the vehicle to check on the welfare of the driver and passenger, he detected the scent of marijuana from the vehicle. A subsequent search with a police dog reportedly uncovered 18 marijuana cigarettes with a combined value of $100.
Chloe A. Lawson, 21, Lawrence, and Elizabeth A. Stevens, 18, Lee Summit, Missouri, were arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
