Online doubles Centre’s class

Nearly half of the 43 high school diplomas Centre will present at 2 p.m. Sunday will go to online learners.
Centre does not select a valedictorian or salutatorian, but several of the 22 local seniors will graduate with honors.
Brendon Bina plans to attend Hutchinson Community College and eventually earn a certificate in secondary education. He plans to be a math teacher.
Dylan Deines plans to attend Kansas State University and major in agronomy. He said he might return to the family farm some day.
“I want to see what’s out there first,” he said.
Katie Marler plans to become an athletic trainer. She has enrolled at Butler Community College.
Hannah Peterson is following in her mother Cris Peterson’s footsteps and will attend Hutchinson Community College to pursue a career in nursing.
The class motto is: “All roads worth taking lead uphill.”
