Opal Lambert-Winter, 87, died Sept. 29, 2008.
She was born in rural Peabody in 1921 to Lloyd and Velma Converse.
In 1939, she married Herbert Winter and they had triplet sons and three daughters. Herbert died in 1982.
In 1996, she married Hubert Lambert. Hubert died in 2005.
Opal’s great joy in life was her family.
Opal is survived by sons, Larry Winter and wife Gloria of Newton, Garry Winter and wife Jan of Wichita, Harry Winter and wife Shelene of Walton; daughters Melody Grosse and husband Steve of Walton, Koni Yoder and husband Glenn of Peabody; step daughters Pamela Rose and husband Tom of Arizona and Judy Guy and husband Merle of Montana. Opal loved her 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Opal was preceded in death by brother Max Converse; sister Elsie Winter; daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Harold Spangler; daughter-in-law Kay Winter; grandsons Doug Etter and Jerod Grosse.
Family visitation was at Baker Funeral home, Peabody.
Memorial service was Monday morning at Peabody Christian Church.
Memorial fund has been established with Legacy Park dietary department in care of Baker Funeral Home.
