Orlean Neufeld

Orlean K. Neufeld, 89, formerly of Durham, died Oct. 8 at Hospice House in Hutchinson.

Born Dec. 9, 1919, in Okeene, Okla., to Fred and Esther (Herbel) Geis, she was a graduate of Durham High School.

She married Abe S. Neufeld Dec. 6, 1946, in Hutchinson.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Congregational Church.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Margo Neufeld; two brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include a daughter, Ona Jenkins of Fairview, Texas; a brother, Richard Geis of Hutchinson; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services were Monday at Elliott Chapel in Hutchinson with the Rev. Matt Stafford officiating.

Memorials have been established with the church and Huntington’s Disease Society of America in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main St, Hutchinson KS 67501-4595.
