LETTERS:   Orphans' plight evokes memories

To the editor:

Hello, Marion. I am a 50-year-old mom of four adopted children in New Jersey.

My first two are from Romania, and they are 18 and 15. They are doing well, not without problems.

Your story (June 22: “A step back in time: visiting orphans on mission to Romania”) is the most horrible news that I have heard since they came home in ’94 and ’97.

Why can’t you get hold of the media to tell the country about this? So many could give these children good homes.

This kind of story is the reason Romania did adoptions in the ’90s. How can we help?
