MARION SENIOR CENTER:   Patrons celebrate National Fork Day

Marion Senior Center correspondent

Senior Center patrons celebrated National Fork Day Oct. 25 with a history of the fork and several patrons talked about the forks they brought. Phyllis Soyez and Eileen Sieger sang a fork song, and Jerry Higgins brought a “fork in the road” drawing.

Placemats were decorated by patrons Oct. 25 and are on display on the wall.

A letter was received from longtime residents Darrell and Beulah Weigart, who now live in Arizona.

The wind power program has been postponed.

Winslow Haselwood of New York Life will give a presentation about retirement income and planning Nov. 13.
