SENIOR CENTER:   Patrons drop off produce

Senior Center

Marion residents Jerry Kline and Shirley Bowers recently dropped off seasonal produce to share with everyone. Kline brought black walnuts and pumpkins and Bowers brought tomatoes.

Harlow Warneke grilled hamburgers for the last time this year. He plans to fire up the grill again in the spring.

A Veterans Administration representative was at the center Oct. 11. He will return Dec. 13.

Sara Carter of Angels Care talked Oct. 12 about the cold and flu season. She left some tissue boxes, soap, and a couple of coloring books for door prizes. She also took pictures of previously colored coloring book pages now on display.

Still to come this month is Don Hodson, who will speak Oct. 26 about his trip to Uganda. National Fork Day will be observed Oct. 28.
