Pauline Meysing

Dorothy Pauline Meysing, 80, of Ramona, died July 11 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina.

She was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Newton, to Ed and Geneva (Scherer) Waner.

She grew up in Florence, graduating from Florence High School. She graduated from Tabor College in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

She was employed as an X-ray technician in Wichita and Concordia and as a teacher in the Tampa and Ramona grade schools.

On Nov. 7, 1953, she married Bernard J. Meysing in Florence. He preceded her in death April 9, 2010.

Survivors include a son, Michael of Milford, Ontario, Canada; a daughter, Jean Hird of Herington; a sister, Joan Onsrud of Grand Junction, Colo.; three brothers, George Waner of Shawnee Okla., Jim Waner of Clear Lake, Iowa, and Bernie Waner of Florence; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A rosary was recited Friday morning at Holy Redeemer Church, Tampa, followed by Mass. The Rev. Hien Nguyen officiated.

Burial was at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Tampa.
