Peabody plans showcase

Peabody American Legion Auxiliary’s annual Christmas Vendor Showcase will be Dec. 5, along with several other holiday activities that day.

The auxiliary’s showcase is planned for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a parade down Walnut St. by Santa and Mrs. Claus at 11:15 a.m. and photo availability from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hatton’s Hometown Hardware will offer refreshments from 2 to 4 p.m. and prizes at 4 p.m. Free food and drinks will be available from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Vintage Bank and 2 to 5 p.m. at ManeStreet Beautique and at Tennant Wood and Metal. Peabody Sausage House will have samples of venison products from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and free pizza samples and Prairie Fire Coffee will be available 3 to 5 p.m. at Peabody Market.

A Little Off the Top, Breathe Deep Works, Coneburg Grill and Pub, Fannie Sterling, Flint Hills Gypsies, Hatton Hometown Hardware, ManeStreet Beautique, Pop’s Diner, Porcupine Tea Company, and Tennant Wood and Metal all will have special deals available.
