Police report

Jan. 25: A U.S. military records check was conducted. A report of a possible burglary in progress was found to be a false alarm.

Jan. 26: A second U.S. military records check was performed.

Jan. 27: Vandalism to a motor home was reported. Police investigated a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile has since returned home. A subject was arrested on a Harvey County warrant.

Thursday: Peabody police assisted Harvey County Sheriff’s officers with an investigation of a hit-and-run accident.

Friday: At 8:30 a.m. officers responded to a report of a barn on fire behind the residence at 311 Maple. The barn was fully engulfed in flames when officers arrived. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
