Peabody Senior Center

Special meal planned for New Year’s Eve

Regular meals will be served at the center from Dec. 26 through Dec. 31. The old year will close with a special lunch and entertainment on Dec. 31.

Kim Nellans will fix pizza for lunch on that day and Bob and the Boys will provide musical entertainment after the meal.

“Reservations are required so Kim will know how many pizzas to prepare,” said site manager, Ruth Lott. “Call (620) 983-2226 to reserve a spot for lunch. You don’t miss out on this event.”

Meals for those 60 and older are $2.75 and for those younger than 60, they are $4.50. Lunch is served at 11:45 a.m. each day and reservations are needed to be sure the staff prepares enough food.

Call in a reservation the day before planning to eat at the center. If it is after hours, leave a message reserving a place.

Volunteers also are appreciated at the center. Anyone with a few hours to give is welcome to help in any of several capacities. Contact Lott at (620) 983-2226 or stop by the center at 106 N. Walnut for more information.

Full senior center menus were not available at press time.
