Pearl Belton

Pearl Marie Belton, 97, of Tampa, died March 5, 2009, at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.

She was a homemaker.

Born Aug. 31, 1911, at Elmo, she was the daughter of John Francis and Mayme (McLain) Donnelly. She grew up in Elmo, and graduated from Tampa High School.

On Oct. 20, 1937, she married Leonard Richard Belton in Elmo and they lived their married life in Tampa. He preceded her in death Sept. 30, 1998. Her parents and three brothers, Ralph, Joseph, and Earl Donnelly also preceded her.

Survivors include a son, Edward Belton of Tampa; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral Mass was Monday morning at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Tampa, with Father Hien P. Nguyen officiating.

Burial was at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Tampa.

A rosary was held Sunday evening at the church.

A memorial fund has been established with Holy Family Parish or contributions may be made to the donors’ choice in her memory. Contributions will be accepted at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
