Kaylie Waner, daughter of Steve and Traci Waner of Marion, is winner of this year’s $500 scholarship from PEO, a philanthropic and educational organization focused on higher education for women.

She plans to major in biology at Kansas State University.

PEO has awarded a scholarship to a senior girl from Marion High School annually since 1987.
