Nominations for the 2016 People Saving People award are being accepted now through Feb. 29 by Kansas Department of Transportation.

The awards recognize persons or organizations who advocate safety and have positive effects for transportation safety.

Awards are presented in three categories: community leadership and engineering; education and information; and enforcement, emergency response, prosecution and adjudication.
