Marion Senior Center

Police had to be called to silence beeps from an old fire alarm on a shelf at Marion Senior Center.

Sue Clough initially reported mysterious beeps coming from a storage closet.

Clough and Gayla Ratzlaff heard the beeps later and tracked down the source. They could not stop the device from beeping, so they called police, who fixed the problem.

Marion County Senior Citizens board will meet Friday at the center.

Iralee Barnard of Dickinson County will share information June 24 from a book she has written on native grasses.
