hillsboro police

April 6: Officers responded to a report of theft of money from a Hillsboro woman’s bank account. Investigation revealed that the account was frozen due to attempted unauthorized withdrawals and the money was still in the account.

April 7: Police took two traffic complaints, one in Memorial Park and the other for a truck with an unsecured load. Officers also checked on suspicious activity on N. Main St.

April 8: Police took a report of a skunk.

April 9: Police took a complaint vandalism in which a 9-year-old boy spray-painted lines on an exterior wall of The Lumberyard Inc. He did about $100 of damage. However, the boy is too young to be charged for the incident in the state of Kansas. Officers also took two parking complaints, responded to a curfew violation at the sports complex, and took a report of an underage child without supervision.

Thursday: Police instructed D.A.R.E. class at the elementary school.

Friday: Officers responded to a report of prevention from stalking order violation.

Saturday: Officers provided funeral escort and took a report of a reckless driver in Memorial Park.

March 27: Police took a report of aggravated battery and assault.

March 28: Police took a report of a possible scam and a suspicious vehicle. Officers received reports of underage drinking and found two juveniles impaired by alcohol; they were arrested on suspicion of minor in consumption and taken to juvenile intake.

March 29: Officers provided a welfare check. During a traffic stop canine officer Legion was deployed. Devin Paserba of Johnstown was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 31: Police took a complaint, checked on the welfare of two children at the elementary school, checked on a suspicious person, and responded to a domestic disturbance.

April 1: Officers checked on a door-to-door salesperson soliciting without a permit.

April 2: Police took a report of a reckless driver and an underage driver and a possible motor vehicle accident.

April 3: Officers responded to an out-of-control juvenile at Oasis, looked for a skunk near the high school, and received two reports of telephone harassment. While conducting a traffic stop, officers arrested Joseph Streck, Andrew Pina, and Nolan Huelsmann on suspicion of minor in consumption and transporting an open container. The three were taken to Marion County Jail and the vehicle had to be towed.

April 4: Officers responded to Oasis for two children that were being disruptive. Police took a report of suspicious activity, and recovered a lost bicycle from the park.

April 5: Police took a report of suspicious person on Main St. and enforced curfew laws at the park.

April 7: Police took a report of reckless driving.

April 9: During a traffic stop canine officer Legion was deployed. Gerald Hager of Marion was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana.

April 10: Police took a report of a suspicious vehicle in the park.

PEABODY POLICE

April 9: Police took a report of aggravated battery and aggravated assault. The incident is under investigation. Police took a report of criminal use of a financial card. Bert Johnson and Crystal Johnson, both of Peabody, were arrested on charges of failure to appear on Peabody Municipal Court warrants.
