Police provided these reports this week of their activities. Routine training, patrols, office work and other assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

July 24 — A child who allegedly struck his mother in the 200 block of N. Lincoln St. was taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital for a mental health evaluation. A dog complaint in the 300 block of E A St. was investigated. Police also took a report of a possible phone scam in the 200 block of E. Grand St.

July 25 — A rifle that children were playing with in the 200 block of S. Birch St. was found to be a toy, A report of money missing from a bank account was unsubstantiated. Kittens reported to be injured in the 400 block of S. Cedar St. were found to be fine. A traffic complaint at Adams and 1st Sts., a traffic accident at the aquatic center and goats in the industrial park were investigated.

Thursday — A two-vehicle non-injury accident at Ash and Grand Sts., a business alarm in the 300 block of S. Ash St., and a curfew violation in the 200 block of W. D St. were investigated. Officers took a report of an altercation, but the victim did not press charges.

Friday — Officers assisted a motorist on 190th Rd. and investigated a harassment complaint in the 200 block of W. D St. and suspicious activity in the 500 block of S. Ash St.

Marion

July 15 — Chloe Lawson, 21, Lawrence, and Elizabeth Stevens, 18, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, were arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police stopped their car at 2:55 a.m. at Remington Rd. and US-56 after reportedly observing the vehicle being driven inconsistently. An officer reported smelling marijuana and searched the vehicle, finding 18 joints valued at $100. Police investigated a report of stalking, domestic battery, criminal restraint, violation of a protection order, criminal trespass, assault, and disorderly conduct in the 400 block of S. Coble St.

July 29 — Police investigated a report of stalking, violation of a protection order, and criminal trespass in the 400 block of S. Coble St.

Peabody

July 25 — Cody Partridge was arrested on a Pratt County warrant for failure to appear in court. Peabody Municipal Court revoked his probation on an earlier conviction and sentenced him to 30 days in jail.

July 28 — A child’s bicycle was recovered in 500 block of Plum St.
