Oct. 29 — Officers investigated a commercial alarm in the industrial park and a report of a suspicious person in the 400 block of N. Ash St.

Oct. 30 — Officers took reports of an attempted scam and suspicious noises in the 100 block of N. Jefferson St.

Oct. 31 — Officers investigated an animal welfare concern in the 300 block of N. Ash St.

Nov. 1 — Officers spoke with a Hillsboro Middle School student about inappropriate behavior, investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of N. Ash St., and assisted with a raccoon complaint.

Friday — Officers responded to a domestic complaint in the 500 block of S. Washington St. and assisted with a civil case involving a traffic accident. A welfare check was performed in the 500 block of W. Grand St. Officer took a complaint of an individual selling door-to-door without a permit.

Saturday — A suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of N. Adams St. was checked. Officers investigated a report of theft of a cook stove from a yard in the 300 block of S. Ash St. An individual reported that he had been assaulted by two people who took his wallet; an adult male was arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken to the county jail.

A reporter who went to Marion Police Department on Monday to ask for an incident report was told none was available, and that both Chief Tyler Mermis and Assistant Chief Clinton Jeffrey would not be in the office until Wednesday.

Marion police have not provided a weekly incident report to the newspaper since Aug. 2.

Peabody

Friday — Officers responded to a non-injury accident at 707 N. Elm. A gas meter was struck.
