Nov. 26 — Officers investigated a dog complaint at D and Ash Sts., assisted a motorist on US-56, and followed up on several investigations.

Nov. 27 — Officers worked a non-injury accident in the 200 block of S. Main St.

Nov. 28 — Officers executed a search warrant in the 400 block of W. B St. Three people were arrested on suspicion of multiple drug violations. Officers investigated theft of a stereo from a vehicle in the 800 block of W. A St., and assisted EMS with a call in the 400 block of S. Jefferson St.

Nov. 29 — Officers assisted Hillsboro High School with a truant student, and assisted an individual with an equipment violation citation.

Thursday — Officers investigated dog complaints in the 400 block of S. Washington St. and on US-56, took a report of a damaged mailbox in the 400 block of E. 1st St., and assisted the sheriff with a child protective custody situation.

Friday — Officers stopped an erratic driver on US-56. The driver was suffering from a medical condition and EMS was summoned. Officers addressed a child custody dispute, and investigated a report of an out-of-control child in the 900 block of E. D St.

Saturday — Officers checked a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of E D St. and a suspicious noise in the 100 block of S. Cedar St.

No incident report was obtained. Phone messages left for Chief Tyler Mermis were not returned, and no one was at the department office when a reporter stopped by Tuesday. The last incident report provided by Marion police was published Aug. 2.

Nov. 26 — A report of criminal damage to property was determined to be a civil matter.

Nov. 27 — Officers initiated an investigation of a report of disorderly conduct.

Nov. 28 — An attempt by officers to take a theft report failed due to lack of cooperation by the victim.

Nov. 29 — Officers opened a health and safety investigation on an abandoned property at 803 N. Chestnut St.

Thursday — Julie Starks of Peabody was arrested on a county warrant for arson and interference with a law enforcement officer.

Friday — Officers initiated an investigation of a violation of a protection from abuse order. An individual suspected of driving under the influence was released after passing a breath test.
