Nov. 10: Officers investigated possible criminal damage to property and removed debris from the roadway.

Nov. 11: Police responded to a complaint of a barking dog.

Nov. 12: Officers investigated a report of a man armed with a rifle on US-56, provided traffic enforcement for speeding and lighting equipment, and performed a driver welfare check.

Thursday: Police responded to a non-injury accident, investigated the living conditions of canine, and provided traffic enforcement on a person who was allegedly driving with an open alcoholic beverage container in the vehicle.

Friday: Officers investigated a report of breach of privacy, responded to a non-injury accident in the high school parking lot, and investigated theft of a shotgun.

Saturday: Police provided traffic enforcement for a motorist who failed to stop at a stop sign.

Sunday: Officers responded to a residential alarm in the 400 block of S. Washington St. and investigated a water leak on Wilson St.

Nov. 12: Police covered a health and safety issue on behalf of the city, performed two military record checks, and filed a report of a Nov. 7 runaway foster child report.

Thursday: Police responded to an out-of-control juvenile at Peabody-Burns Elementary School.

Sunday: Officers responded to Peabody City Park where a deer with a rack was caught in the batting cage. It was wrapped in the cage net and had to be destroyed. Police responded to a non-injury accident at Ninth and Sycamore Sts. where a car struck and knocked over a stop sign. Officers assisted Kansas Highway Patrol and Harvey County Sheriff’s Department with a traffic stop related to a hit-and-run incident in Newton.
