Dec. 21 — A tiller was reported stolen from a front yard in the 500 block of Main St.

Dec. 22 —Police responded to a report of a suicidal man who had cut his wrists in the 300 block of N. Ash St. He was taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital for evaluation.

Dec. 23 — A propane bottle was reported stolen from an apartment in the 400 block of N. Ash St. Police took a dog complaint in the 200 block of Floral Dr.

Dec. 24 — Police took a report of fugitives possibly living in an apartment in the 400 block of N. Ash St.

Thursday — Officers responded to a report of an unattended death in the 400 block of N. Ash St. Police also took a report of suspicious activity in the 100 block of W. Grand St.

Dec. 15 — A runaway juvenile from Hillsboro was found in Peabody. Officers investigated an unattended death. Jeremy Ragland was cited for allegedly having no proof of automobile insurance and expired tags.

Dec. 17 — Kimberly Jones was cited for allegedly having no proof of automobile insurance and expired tags. Officers investigated a report of a resident assaulting a staff member at Peabody Care Center. No charges were filed. Police investigated a non-injury accident in the parking lot at Coneburg Inn.

Dec. 18 — Police officers issued a stop-work order for construction allegedly being done without a permit in the 700 block of N. Elm St.

Dec. 19 — A report of telephone harassment was investigated.

Dec. 20 — A report was taken of theft of a vehicle from a residence. The case is under investigation. Kevin Linschied, Peabody, was cited for driving while suspended.

Dec. 22 — Police took a report of the theft of a motor vehicle from a residence.

Dec. 8 — Officers took two dogs that were roaming at large to Animal Health Center. Theft of prescription drugs was reported. Allegations of burglary, theft, and criminal damage at two residences in 500 block of S. Freeborn St. were investigated. Julie Starks, 32, Marion, was arrested for allegedly driving with a revoked driver’s license.

Dec. 9 — Officers investigated a non-injury accident, executed a search warrant for undisclosed items in the 100 block of W. Santa Fe St., placed two juveniles in protective custody, and searched for a theft suspect from Hillsboro.

Dec. 10 — Carlsons’ Grocery reported suspicious activity. Gary Tomlinson, 41, Marion was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol. Police investigated a report of a woman allegedly being struck with a chair.

Dec. 11 — Michael Pearson, 36, Marion, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery.

Dec. 12 — A report of shots fired in the 700 block of Hudson St. was discovered to be roofers using nail guns. Officers investigated a report of alleged harassment in the100 block of W. Santa Fe St.

Dec. 13 — A protection from abuse order violation in the 100 block of N. Cedar St. was investigated. Reckless driving was reported, and a speeding citation was issued.

Dec. 15 — Christmas lights were reported vandalized.

Dec. 16 — A domestic disturbance in the 500 block of N. Coble St. was reported.

Dec. 17 — Officers assisted Kansas Department of Children and Families with an adult case in the 400 block of Locust St. Theft of a light from a truck bed was investigated.

Dec. 18 — A subject walking in the 300 block of N. 4th St. was stopped by officers and taken to St. Luke Hospital for psychological examination.

Dec. 19 — Officers intervened after a juvenile at Oasis was reported to be out of control. Officers investigated an accident in the 300 block of N. Cedar St.

Dec. 20 — A report of reckless driving turned out to be a sleepy driver who had no license. A possible hostage situation was determined to be a hoax. Three males stopped for allegedly speeding were arrested on charges of attempted distribution of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia after police dog Legion allegedly located 75 grams of marijuana. Public records naming those arrested were not released by Marion police or Marion County Jail.
