Hillsboro

May 3: A large bee swarm was removed from at the Hillsboro Recreation Commission complex.

May 4: A dog bite was reported in the 300 block of S. Birch St., a vandalism a reported in the 100 block of S. Main St., and an officer participated in a forensics interview with a child victim.

May 5: There was a report of a portable restroom pushed over on campus at Tabor College, two dog complaints, and a harassment complaint.

May 6: A domestic rabbit was reported to be on the loose in the 200 block of S. Ash St. Suspicious activity and an attempted phone scam were reported. Officers also returned lost property, and monitored the weather.

Thursday: There was a credit card fraud complaint in the 400 block of E. A St. Officers checked on suspicious activity in the 100 block of N. Main St.

Friday: Police took a report of suspicious activity that involved a house owner who believed someone drilled a hole in his residence in the 200 block of S Birch St. One person also was arrested on charges of domestic battery in the 200 block of S. Birch St. after a domestic disturbance was reported. There was a report of a possible theft in the 500 block of N. Ash St. Officers also registered bicycles at the police department.

Saturday: Officers arrested a motorist on an outstanding warrant after responding to a report of a reckless driver in Memorial Park. Police monitored weather and took a report of a tree that had fallen in the roadway in the 200 block of S. Washington St.

PEABODY

May 4: Police took two children into protective custody at the request of the Kansas Department of Children and Families. The children have been placed in foster care.

May 5: Police filed a health and safety ordinance violation at 804 N. Olive St. for the City of Peabody.

May 6: Officers assisted Kansas Department of Children and Families with an investigation into a situation where children were present with no available food and questionable living conditions.
