Aug. 17 — Two dog-at-large complaints were investigated, traffic enforcement for equipment and speeding violations was performed.
Aug. 18 — A door left ajar at a downtown business was investigated. Suspicious activity was investigated in the 200 block of S. Birch St.
Aug. 19 — Vehicle tags were recovered and returned to their owner.
Thursday — Shoplifting was investigated at Dollar General. A truck on fire was investigated on US-56.
Friday — A juvenile was taken into protective custody. A bicycle theft was investigated.
Saturday — Criminal damage to property was investigated in the 700 block of S. Ash St.

Aug. 17— Police took a trespassing complaint from a resident at 310 N. Locust. Officers including a K-9 unit were called to Peabody Health and Rehab to begin a search for a resident who walked away from the facility after dark.
Aug. 19 — Shawn Stahl Heber was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license.
Friday — Kyle Edison and Mark Nixon were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle with no valid insurance. Police asked for a K-9 unit to assist on a routine traffic stop when officers suspected drug activity. A new drug investigation was opened in Peabody.
