Aug. 30 — Officers investigated suspicious activity wherein a child reported that an unknown man “jiggled” the handle on their front door. A girl was transported to Hillsboro community hospital after her parent reported that she was acting strange and was “somewhat unresponsive.”
Aug. 31 — A dispute between a mother and child over the child’s alleged refusal to go to school was investigated in the 400 block of N. Ash St. An out-of-control juvenile was investigated in the 400 block of E. First St.
Sept. 1 — An owner of a vehicle discovered in Memorial Park after curfew said it had been taken by fellow students and hidden there as a prank. Several warnings were issued for school zone violation near the elementary school.
Sept. 2 — Suspicious activity was investigated downtown.
Friday — A curfew violation was investigated in Memorial Park.

Sept. 1 — Police took a report of two incidents of aggravated assault with a vehicle and criminal threat. The report is under investigation and police anticipate filing charges.
Sept. 2 — Police took a report of battery and criminal threat. The case has been closed and charges have been filed with county attorney Susan Robson.
Sept. 3 — Police assisted employees of Peabody Public Works with an investigation into an object thrown from a city lawn mower going through the window of a residence. No one was injured and the window will be replaced.
Sunday — Police took a report of the theft of a cell phone charger.
