Oct. 4 — A broken water main was investigated in the 100 block of N. Ash St.
Oct. 5 — A theft was investigated on Willow Dr. and an abandoned bicycle was picked up.
Oct. 6 — Two non-injury accidents in Hillsboro Heights and a possible DUI on US-56 were investigated.
Oct. 7 — A child custody dispute, commercial alarm, cat bite, vehicle burglary, non-injury accident, and verbal confrontation between a mother and son were investigated. A citizen brought an elderly woman who appeared to be confused and lost into Hillsboro Police Department. Officers assisted an Immigration and Customs Services officer arrest a person on a felony deportation order in the 100 block of S. Main St.
Thursday — A littering complaint and commercial alarm were investigated. A non-injury accident in the 100 block of W. Grand St. also was investigated. However, all parties had left before police arrived at the scene.
Friday — A traffic complaint in the 500 block of E. Grand St., and the theft of four wheels and tires from a vehicle in the 600 block of N Ash St. were investigated.
Saturday — Suspicious activity, a report of a stolen bicycle, and a non-injury accident were investigated. A trespass and property dispute between a married couple was investigated. It turned out to be a civil matter.

Oct. 4 — Richard Beatty was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license.
Oct. 7 — Police took a report of residential burglary of personal items and groceries.
