Hillsboro

Nov. 20— A report of an out-of-control subject was investigated in the 700 block of S. Main St. Officers assisted electrical crews during a power outage.

Nov. 21 — A missing person was located and transported to Hillsboro Community Hospital. A child custody dispute was investigated in the 400 block of N. Ash St.

Nov. 22 — Derrick La Plante, 31, of Hillsboro, was arrested on charges of criminal damage and criminal threats after a disturbance was reported in the 100 block of N. Jefferson St.

Nov. 23 — An abandoned bicycle was checked in the 300 block of S. Washington St. A dog complaint was investigated in the 400 block of S. Washington St.

Nov. 24 — A dog bite complaint was investigated in the 300 block of N. Washington St.

Nov. 25 — A complaint of telephone harassment was investigated in the 300 block of N. Jefferson St.

Nov. 26 — Toy guns were discovered after police investigated a juvenile with guns in the 200 block of S. Ash St. A report of a person who was possibly attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill was investigated in Hillsboro Heights. A report of a smell of marijuana coming from somewhere on Jefferson St. was investigated but officers were unable to locate anything.

Nov. 27 —A woman reported that a friend had taken her car without her permission. The vehicle was located and the driver was arrested for operating a vehicle without and interlock device. A report of the sale of alcohol after hours was investigated in the 500 block of E. D St.

Nov. 28 — A person was arrested for the violation of a protection from stalking order. Suspicious activity was investigated at First and Washington Sts. Officers responded to three non-injury accidents.

Nov. 2 — Sarah Harsh was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, and warrants for failure to appear from Saline County, McPherson County, and city of Salina. She was taken to Marion County Jail. Police took a report of a lost wallet and lost keys.

Nov. 5 — Officers took a report of a dispute over dogs. Police responded to a domestic dispute at 211N. Spruce St. No arrests were made.

Nov. 7 — Police took a report of theft that was later deemed to be a civil matter. No charges were filed.

Nov. 11 — Police responded to a domestic battery situation at 106 W. 6th St. Charges are pending.

Nov. 12 — Lena Fisher, Peabody, was arrested and charged with failure to appear on a Peabody municipal warrant. James D. Scott was arrested and charged with failure to appear on a Johnson County warrant.

Nov. 20 — Police took a report of two vehicles driving erratically in Peabody-Burns High School parking lot. The case is under investigation.

Nov. 23 — Officers completed a record check for employment. A complaint about a barking dog in the 400 block of N. Maple St. proved to be unfounded.
