Hillsboro

Jan. 31 — A dog-at-large at Grand and Ash Sts, report of a suspicious person in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St., and a traffic complaint in the 300 block of N. Washington St. were investigated.

Feb. 1 — A prowler complaint in the 100 block of S. Main St was investigated. Two reports of suspicious activity, a possible phone scam, and report of a possible pit bull within city limits were investigated.

Feb. 2 — A non-injury accident in industrial park and dog complaint in the 500 block of E Grand St. were investigated.

Feb. 3 — The city street department was assisted with a disgruntled resident in the 500 block of E. Second St. A commercial alarm in the 100 block of S. Main St was investigated.

Thursday — Traffic and dog complaints were investigated.

Friday — Suspicious activity in the 400 block of N. Ash St was investigated.

Saturday — A motorist was arrested after allegedly driving under the influence in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St.

Marion

Feb. 1 — A business with two open doors was secured after a commercial alarm sounded in the 1200 block of Commercial St. A suspicious vehicle was investigated.

Feb. 2 — An unknown medical call in the 200 block of Thorp St. was investigated.

Feb. 3 — A suspicious person was investigated.

Thursday — Two verbal warnings for frost on windshields and two warnings for speeding were issued in school zones. A verbal warning for following too close was issued near Cedar St. and US-56. Verbal warnings for headlamp out and stopping/standing in the roadway also were issued near US-56.

Friday — A verbal warning for failing to stop at a stop sign was issued.

Saturday — A citation for speeding was issued near US-56 and Ridge Rd. Three verbal warnings for speeding and one for inattentive driving were issued. Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff’s department in investigating two intoxicated individuals at the county lake.

Sunday — A report of two dogs-at-large was investigated.

Feb. 2 — Police worked a non-injury accident on private property and provided a courtesy report.
