Hillsboro

Feb. 7 — A theft complaint at a business in Hillsboro Heights was investigated but the proprietor did not was to pursue charges. A dog-at-large was investigated.

Feb. 8 — A landlord/tenant dispute, dog complaint and suspicious odor were investigated.

Feb. 9 — Two commercial alarms and a report of a suspicious person on the roof of the former Wal-Mart building were investigated.

Feb. 10 — A report of a scam by text was investigated.

Thursday — A domestic disturbance, commercial alarm, complaint of a repossessed vehicle, and suspicious activity were investigated.

Friday — A juvenile was picked up for a mental health evaluation. A report of a suspicious person pulling a wagon filled with junk was investigated. A report of an out-of-control juvenile was investigated.

Feb. 9 — Reports of an out-of-control juvenile and a commercial alarm were investigated.

Thursday —Citations for no permit to move a building and no contractor license were issued when a report of debris in the roadway was investigated in the 200 block of S. Lincoln St. A report of dogs barking in the 300 block of Elm St. was investigated. An underage drinking sign on the courthouse lawn was repaired.

Friday — A report of dogs barking was investigated on Cedar St.

Peabody

Thursday — Police began an investigation into a burglary and theft, assisting Ottawa County Sheriff’s department.

Saturday — Officers assisted Peabody Fire Department with an early morning structure fire at 803 N. Chestnut St.

Sunday — Police were called to a domestic disturbance involving a weapon at 705 N. Locust St. It was determined to be a civil matter and no arrests were made.
