HILLSBORO

Nov. 28 — Officers investigated a complaint of Facebook harassment and a dog complaint in the 100 block of S. Ash St.

Nov. 29 — A traffic complaint in the 300 block of N. Cedar St. was investigated. Police also checked on the welfare of a resident of the 300 block of S. Main St.

Nov. 30 — Police looked into a concern about animal welfare in the 300 block of N. Cedar St.

Thursday — A child custody dispute in the 300 block of N. Washington St., an inquiry about an order of protection from abuse, and a driving complaint on US-56 were investigated.

Saturday — Police investigated a noise complaint in the 300 block of N. Jefferson St., parking complaints at the high school and in the 200 block of S. Madison St., a property dispute in the 300 block of N. Washington St., and a theft complaint at Tabor College. They also checked the welfare of a resident of the 400 block of S. Ash St.

Sunday — Suspicious activity in the 500 block of S. Ash St. and a parking complaint in the 300 block of S. Washington St. were investigated.

MARION

Nov. 28 — Police investigated a 911 disconnect in the 500 block of N. Freeborn St., checked on the welfare of a resident in the 200 block of Walnut St., and a motorist on Industrial Rd. near US-56.

Nov. 29 — A report of a possible stolen tractor-trailer near 2nd and Water Sts. was determined to be erroneous. A dog reported missing in the 300 block of S. Cedar St. was returned to its owner.

Nov. 30 — Reports of trespassing in the 1100 block of E. Main St. and of a disturbance the previous night were investigated. Police warned a motorist in the 900 block of N. Cedar St. who had expired plates and an expired driver’s license. They also warned a US-56 motorist with a defective tag light.

Thursday — A motorist was warned about speeding at the Sports and Aquatics Center. A theft was reported in the 600 block of N. Roosevelt St. Suspicious activity was investigated at 3rd and Main Sts.

Friday — A dog roaming free in near Locust and Lawrence Sts. was picked up by its owner. Police warned a motorist with a defective tail light in the 600 block of W. Main St. and a motorist who failed to dim his or her headlights in the 1200 block of E. Main St.

Saturday — Officers stood by during a civil matter in the 400 block of Walnut St., checked on a report of a disturbance in the 700 block of N. Cedar St., investigated a suspicious vehicle parked behind the former Pizza Hut, and warned a motorist for speeding at 4th and Main Sts.

Thursday — Peabody police assisted Marion County Sheriff’s department with a juvenile custody incident in Burns. Children in the home were turned over to the care of Kansas Department of Children and Families. Police also took an information report of an incident behind Peabody Township Library involving juveniles. The incident was resolved.

Friday — Police officers assisted Peabody and Florence fire departments at a structure fire at 610 N. Walnut St.

Sunday — Officers provided a civil standby at 711 N. Olive St.
