hillsboro

Dec. 11 — Traffic, skunk, damage, and threat complaints were investigated.

Dec. 12 — An abandoned vehicle on A and Washington Sts. was investigated. A missing wallet was located and returned to itsowner.

Dec. 13 — Hillsboro High School was contacted in reference to an alleged battery complaint. A dog-at-large in the 100 block of S. Lincoln St. was investigated. An animal welfare concern, reckless driving complaint at 3rd and Jefferson Sts., parking complaint in the 200 block of S. Madison St. were investigated. A minor traffic accident in the 100 block of W. Grand St. was investigated; no damage was reported to either vehicle. A welfare check in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St. was performed.

Dec. 13 — A fallen stop sign at Briarwood and Ash Sts. was located. A domestic disturbance in the 100 block of W. Washington St., vehicle lock-out in the 100 block of S. Main St., and report of a runaway juvenile in the 400 block of E. 1st St. were investigated.

Thursday — Reports of suspicious activity in the 200 block of E. 1st St. and in the 200 block of N. Lincoln St. were investigated. Officers conferred with Kansas Department of Transportation in reference to vehicle crash data. Immigrant and Customs Enforcement was assisted with an investigation.

Friday — Liquor licenses were reviewed and a welfare check in the 400 block of N. Ash St. was performed.

Saturday — Two vehicles were taken in for recalls and sheriff’s department was assisted with a structure fire on Holly Rd.

Sunday — A truck driver attempting to get his vehicle out in cold weather and a bondsman who was trying to locate a person believed to have skipped were assisted.

Dec. 12 — A welfare check in the 600 block of S. Roosevelt St. was performed.

Dec. 13 — Warnings for no tail lights, no tag lights, and speeding were issued.

Dec. 14 — Traffic control was provided for a semi parked in the 800 block of E. Main St. while the driver made a delivery.

Thursday — Traffic control was provided for a vehicle stuck on a rock in the 1200 block of E. Main St. A citation for an expired registration was issued in the 500 block of S. Freeborn St. A disturbance in the 500 block of S. Freeborn St. was investigated. A suspicious vehicle in the former Pizza Hut parking lot was checked.

Friday — Street conditions were checked during city weather patrol. A vehicle fire in the 100 block of E. Main St. An illegally parked vehicle near Weldon and Roosevelt Sts. was checked.

Saturday — Two warnings for no headlamps when required were issued. A semi in a ditch near N. Thorp and Main Sts. and a vehicle parked in the roadway were investigated.

Dec. 13 — Police worked a non-injury automobile accident at 410 N. Pine St.

Police took an information report of criminal activity in a residential neighborhood.

Rochelle Atwood was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance. She was booked into Marion County Jail.

Thursday — Police took an information report on a juvenile.

Friday — Catherine Olson of Peabody was arrested and charged with failure to appear in Peabody Municipal Court.
