INCIDENT REPORTS

Activity reports released Monday by city police departments:

HILLSBORO

Dec. 19 — Complaints about semi-trailers being parked on city streets and children playing on thin ice at city ponds were investigated. Citations for not displaying a license plate and having no insurance were issued.

Dec. 20 — Police dealt with a child custody issue and reports of a runaway juvenile, a criminal threat, and a suspicious person at Casey’s General Store. A motorist was ticketed for an equipment problem.

Dec. 21 — Another report of a suspicious person at Casey’s resulted in officers taking someone to McPherson County. A report of a suspicious person at City Hall also was investigated as were reports of vandalism and a dog running at large. Police also checked on the welfare of a resident in the 600 block of S. Washington St.

Thursday — Police investigated cases involving drugs and reported cruelty to animals.

Friday — More suspicious activity was reported at Casey’s. A possible domestic disturbance in the 100 block of N. Washington St. and a complaint of texting while driving were investigated.

Saturday — Animal cruelty again was investigated.

Sunday — An alarm at Dollar General, a motorist who failed to pay for gas at Casey’s, and a report of a suspicious person in the 100 block of S. Ash St. were investigated. Motorists were ticketed for an equipment violation and not having proof of insurance.

Dec. 20 — Police checked an employment record.

Dec. 21 — A report of burglary of a locked vehicle and theft of a firearm were taken. The case is under investigation.

After a traffic stop for speeding, Demetrius Shelton was charged with no proof of insurance and driving with a suspended license.

Thursday — Burglary of a locked motor vehicle and theft of a firearm were reported. The case is under investigation.
