ACTIVITY REPORTS

Police provided these reports this week of their activities:

hillsboro

June 18 — An unattended death was investigated.

June 19 — Traffic hazards were removed from Adams St. A dog running free in the 300 block of N. Main St., a non-injury traffic accident in the 300 block of N. Main St., and a report of a missing person were investigated. Two juveniles were issued curfew violations. A report of a possible suicidal person in the 400 block of N. Ash St. was investigated.

June 20 — A report of a suspicious person near the municipal pool was investigated.

June 21 — Reports of a vehicle burglary in the 200 block of S. Birch St., a dog running free in the 500 block of E. Grand St., and a possibly suicidal person were investigated. A a minor traffic accident in the 200 block of S. Main St. also was investigated.

Thursday — A possibly suicidal person in the 400 block of N. Ash St. was investigated.

Friday — Reports of a suspicious item in the 100 block of N. Cedar St. and a verbal confrontation in the 300 block of S. Birch St. were investigated. A criminal trespass notice was issued. A report of a suicidal person in the 500 block of W. Grand St. was investigated; the person was transported to a medical facility.

Saturday — A disturbance on US-56 was investigated. A juvenile was taken into custody by McPherson County authorities. A person wanted in McPherson County was searched for.

MARION

June 19 — A traffic stop on US-56 near Remington Rd. resulted in the arrest of Jamie McCammon, 38, Emporia, on suspicion of operating a vehicle without a required ignition interlock.

Another motorist was ticketed for having no registration at Main and Elm Sts., and a third was warned about speeding in the 400 block of S. Lincoln St.

June 20 — Speeds in the 400 block of N. Cedar St. were checked with radar.

June 21 — Radar was used again on N. Cedar St. and on S. 3rd St. and Main St. A driver at Main and Freeborn Sts. was warned about reading while driving. Officers could not locate a vehicle that reportedly was parked in the 1100 block of E. Main St. with a dog in it.

Thursday — Officers asked a driver to move a vehicle blocking other parked vehicles on Main St.

Saturday — An unwanted visitor at a residence in the 100 block of Billings St. left before officers arrived. No action was taken on a report of a child being yelled at for riding a bicycle in a street. A member of the public talked to officers about possible theft of jewelry in another jurisdiction.

Sunday — Officers helped a motorist install a child safety seat.

Peabody

June 12 — A deer strike at US-50 and Maple St. was investigated

June 13 — A trespassing complaint in the 200 block of N. Spruce St. was investigated.

June 14 — A report of a violation of a protection order was filed with the county attorney.

June 15 — A report of criminal damage to the side of Peabody Hardware was investigated. Weather damage to a car was investigated.

June 20 — A report of identity theft and credit card fraud was investigated.

June 24 — An attempted burglary and criminal damage to property in the 100 block of N. Walnut St. were investigated.
