POW/MIA Recognition Day is Friday.

There are still 1,660 missing soldiers from the Vietnam War, 25 from Kansas including Ronald Schultz of Hillsboro.

Deanna Klenda of Marion has been active member to the National League of Families of American Prisoners and missing for nearly 30 years. She wants those missing in action to be remembered. On Sept. 17, 1965, her brother, Maj. Dean Klenda, went missing after he ejected from his plane over North Vietnam.
