Properties to be sold at tax auction

Mineral rights to a section of property and 16 houses and lots with taxes delinquent since 2019 and earlier will be sold at 10 a.m. Thursday at the county lake hall.

Advance registration for the auction is recommended but not required. Registrations are being accepted at the county treasurer’s office at (620) 382-2180.

Bidders must sign an affidavit stating that they are eligible to bid. Owners of delinquent property are not eligible. Affidavits may be filled out starting at 9 a.m. before the sale.

Houses on the sale list include:

  • 101 S. Birch St., Hillsboro, appraised at $40,900.
  • 207 E. 4th St., Peabody, appraised at $20,290.
  • 209 W. 4th St., Florence, appraised at $ 2,430.
  • 217 E. 4th St., Florence, appraised at $1,400.
  • 303 W. Marion, Lehigh, appraised at $1,800.
  • 305 N. C St., Ramona, appraised at $1,490.
  • 328 N. Lincoln St., Marion, appraised at $89,910.
  • 413 S. 4th St., Marion, appraised at $ 28,000.
  • 420 N. Lincoln St., Marion, appraised at $28,000.

A retail building at 400 W. Main St., Lincolnville, appraised at $11,800, also will be auctioned.

Vacant lots also are on the sale list. They include:

  • N. Poplar St., Peabody, appraised at $1,010.
  • W. 5th St., Florence, appraised at $1,010.
  • 501 S. 4th St., Marion, appraised at $6,060.
  • 210 S. Vernon St., Lehigh, appraised at $1,160.
  • 620 Barker St., Florence, appraised at $1,250.
  • 311 N. Lincoln St., Hillsboro, appraised at $5,480.

A 50% interest to mineral rights for 30 years starting in 1997 in the north 1/2 of northwest 1/4 of Section 6, Township 21 south, range 4 east will be auctioned.

Payment must be made by cash, money order, or certified check within one hour of the end of the sale Thursday.

Sales must be confirmed by a hearing in district court, which will take place about three weeks after the sale.
