Chris and Kendra Hancock of Newton announce the birth of a daughter, Raegan James Hancock, at 7:51 p.m. May 5.

She weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and was 19½ inches long.

Richard and Sharon Terrel of Newton, Kenneth and Clara Holub of Marion, and Tom and Kin Hancock of Lansing are her grandparents.

Great-grandparents are Bonnie Ratzloff of Newton, the late Chester Ratzloff; Wencel and Loretta Holub of Marion; Don and Donna Keiser of Kansas City, Mo.; Richard and Margaret Nedwed of Blue Springs, Mo.; and the late Virgil Hancock and Wynona Pike.
