Randall Mott-Conyers
Randall Craig Mott-Conyers, 59, passed away Aug. 1, 2015, surrounded by family and loved ones.
He is survived by his mother, Vivian Conyers; his loving companion, Wanda Pinkerton; his sons, Reggie, Robert (Nahid), Blake (Tessa), and Niki (Matt); brother, Wayne (MaryAnn); sister, Melanie (David); grandchildren, Elliott, Madison, and Sydney; and nieces, Althea (Kudjo), Anoria (Nate), Alyssa (Kyle), Erika, and Haley.
Randy was the salutatorian for the 1973 graduating class of Marion High School. He went on to attend Bryan Institute of Technology, and spent nearly three decades in the computer industry as a systems analyst. He was an active member of the Democratic Party and participated on numerous committees within the legislative system.
In recent years, Randy gave countless hours working with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) to promote mental health awareness at a state and federal level.
A memorial fund in honor of Randy has been established with NAMI to assist others in continuing his passion of seeking support systems for those with mental illness. Donations can be sent to NAMI Kansas, P.O. Box 675, Topeka KS 66601, Attention: Randy Conyers Memorial Fund.
