It’s here. It’s here. Christmas.

The highlight of the year. It’s the time of the year for caring, loving, giving, and receiving. A wonderful season. How dull it would be without Christmas.

As a young woman, I remember being concerned over the plans. So exciting to receive cards and especially those including pictures of the children and families. It seems to me that with all the organizations that do a lot to see that every child receives a gift, the only one who isn’t happy is the Grinch. He doesn’t even want to hear “Merry Christmas.”

Of course, the moms and grandmothers are worn out, trying to do everything. Being together is the fun part. It is such a surprise to all how the grandchildren have grown.

Gifts have changed since I got a rag doll and maybe an orange in my stocking. Everything is electronic now. My daughter Mary Jane gave me the cutest gift — a little mouse playing a piano. He plays different Christmas carols and speaks. Wish you all could hear it. It’s so real.

It will be a sad Christmas for Tiger Woods’ wife and children. What is the matter with all these celebrity men? I feel for those little children whose mother and father have just got divorced. At times life is difficult.

Anyway, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
